Our Ways of Supporting You During COVID-19
To limit the need for contact between myself and clients, we are offering telemedicine consultations via FaceTime or phone. The cost of a 15 minute virtual consult is $36 inc GST, a third of the cost of a regular onsite visit.
Contact-Free Medicine Delivery
Delivery of prescribed medication will be arranged during the virtual consultation and delivered to your premises via a contact-free service.
Essential Onsite Appointments
As we are an essential service, we can continue to provide onsite appointments when required by the situation of your horse. However, if you or a member of your household are unwell, we ask that you reschedule your onsite appointment.
We offer a wide range of services including allergy testing, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, respiratory noise diagnosis, lameness examinations, diagnostic examinations, pre-purchase examinations, full laboratory access, access to further veterinary specialists and their laboratories in Australia and overseas, equine reproduction and AI, full health checks including vaccination, worming and microchipping.
Total Wound Balm
Developed in 2012, in conjunction with Professor Ron Slocombe. It is a natural product with pyrethrum added to keep insects away. Wounds heal in half the time on the body and upper legs and are weeks faster to heal lower leg injuries without proud flesh formation (although this can happen in rare cases).
Treat by applying a small amount to the wound every 3-5 days which is great for owners who can’t get to their horse regularly, leave the area exposed, bandages are not recommended.
Total Wound Balm is available from Total Animal Supplies at Carrum Downs and Equine Concepts.
